Insurance and Liability.
We will need some insurance in order to run, especially since this will include equipment with the ability injure is not used correctly.
We'll also need to have appropriate waivers.

Re: Insurance and Liability
Hi Nick, love your idea and looking forward to seeing things come to fruition.
Not sure if it would be 100% suitable/eligible, but worth looking into insurance with VWA (Victorian Woodworkers Association).
They cover many art forms and offer $20mil public liability, product insurance as well as running workshops/classes (up to 10 participants I believe). All at a very reasonable price compared to many insurers (maybe $300 a year). Might be enough to get off the ground?

That’s a good idea Mickey. Anyone a member of the Men’s Shed or Repair Cafe in Lilydale? Might be worth chatting to established places to get a jump start - learn from them what works and what to avoid.

Lots of really good information. There’s a bit of red tape to work through and the mental hurdle of committing to what seems like a big endeavour. But this is the hardest part and for anyone familiar with starting or running a business, is all pretty familiar.
